Sean Wroe

Sean Wroe ( born March 18, 1985 in Melbourne) is an Australian athlete who won the bronze medal with the 4 x 400 meters relay at the 2009 World Championships.

In 2004, Wroe part in the Athletics World Junior Championships in Grosseto, reaching there about 400 meters in sixth place, with the Australian season he finished in seventh place. In 2007 he won at the Australian Championships over 400 meters. At the World Indoor Championships in 2008, he finished sixth. In the outdoor season Wroe was eliminated in the 2008 Olympics in the semifinals, as well as the year before at the World Championships. Unlike last year, however, he reached with the relay, the Olympic finals. There, Sean Wroe, John Steffensen, Clinton Hill and Joel Milburn ran in 3:00,02 minutes to sixth place.

In March 2009, Wroe improved his personal best in Brisbane at 45.07 seconds. At the World Championships in 2009, he retired again in the semifinals. But together with Joel Milburn, Tristan Thomas and Ben Offereins he qualified in 3:02,04 minutes for the season finale. After an exchange and a conversion, the squadron was in the finals in the statement John Steffensen, Offer One, and Thomas Wroe; 3:00,90 minutes after the team won the bronze medal behind the seasons from the United States and the United Kingdom.

At a height of 1.85 meters his competition weight is 74 kilograms.
