Semněvice

Semněvice ( German Hochsemlowitz ) is a municipality with 153 inhabitants in Okres Domažlice, Czech Republic. It is located about 10 km north of the city Horšovský Tyn ( Bischofteinitz ) on the southeastern edge of the Sedmihoří ( Seven Mountains).

History

The 1264 first detectable parish village near Bischofteinitz in Cheb in 1939 had 226 inhabitants. He was dominated by agriculture. In 1900, a stallion station was set up in place, and in the village of horse breeding was established. 1945/46, the German inhabitants were expelled.

At community Semněvice include the districts Pocinovice ( Potzowitz ) with 25 residents, Semněvice with 117 inhabitants and Šlovice ( Schlowitz ), 11 inhabitants.
