Serdar Taşçı 2007

Serdar Taşçı [ taʃ.tʃɯ ] ( born April 24, 1987 in Esslingen am Neckar) is a German footballer who also has Turkish nationality. He is since 2013 in the Russian league at Spartak Moscow Premjer under contract.

Career

Clubs

The defender grew up in Esslingen am Neckar on as one of three children of the button factory worker and later machines surgeon Nihat and the housewife Sümbül Taşçı. His grandparents had immigrated in the late 1960s as guest workers from the northeastern Turkish city of Artvin to Germany.

He began with six years of playing football at SC Altbach and in 1997 in the e- Youth of the Stuttgarter Kickers, where he played for two years. In July 1999, he had already moved to the youth of VfB Stuttgart. For the 2005/06 season he was promoted to the second team of VfB Stuttgart, before he was appointed to the 2006/07 season in the cadre of professionals.

Taşçı can play both inside as well as a right defender. His first league game he played on August 20, 2006 against Arminia Bielefeld on Matchday 2 of the 2006/07 season, when he came in to replace the Dane Jon Dahl Tomasson after his injury in the 68th minute. National

Taşçı who would have been eligible to play due to his Turkish descent for both the German and the Turkish national football team, decided in October 2006 despite courtship of the Turkish Football Association for a career in the German national team.

On 16 August 2007 Taşçı was first appointed to the levy of the German national team and was in the squad for the friendly against England on 22 August 2007, in which he was not used.
