Sergio Bonelli

Sergio Bonelli alias Guido Nolitta ( born December 2, 1932 in Milan, Milan Province; † 26 September 2011 in Monza, Province of Monza and Brianza ) was an Italian comic book author and publisher.

Life and work

Bonelli, son of comic book author and publisher Giovanni Luigi Bonelli, his scripts produced preferentially at under the pseudonym Guido Nolitta. He debuted in 1958 with Un ragazzo nel Far West. For the drawn by Sergio Tarquinio comic Roy Bean, who was born in 1960, Bonelli supplied the texts. In collaboration with the artist Gallieno Ferri in 1961 was the Western comic Zagor. This has been published in the years 1964 and 1965 at the Walter Lehning Verlag in German under the title Rocky. Also in collaboration with Ferri was established in 1975, the comic series Mister No, that was later continued by other artists. In 1977, Bonelli wrote the text for the shares subscribed by Aurelio Galleppini Comic L' Uomo del Texas.

As a publisher Bonelli was long before Sergio Bonelli Editore publishing house. He published not only his own works but also other series, such as Tex Willer, Martin Mystère and Dylan Dog.
