Shadow Zone is the third studio album by American alternative metal band Static-X.

Genesis

After the tour was completed to Static-X 's second album Machine, co-founder Ken Jay left the band. Static-X were without drummer there, but wanted to record a new album anyway. As a provisional replacement of the studio drummer Josh Freese went into the band to record an album with them. After completion of the recordings, Nick Oshiro took over from then on the position of drummer. The first single The Only later was a soundtrack contribution to the game Need for Speed: Underground. 2004 as the second single So decoupled. At two singles there were music videos. Shadow zone itself was released on 7 October 2003 worldwide. It is their first album, which contains no swear words and therefore has no stickers by Parental Advisory on the cover.
