Shangcai County

Circle Shangcai (上蔡县) is a county in Henan Province of the People's Republic of China, which belongs to the administrative territory of the prefecture-level city of Zhumadian. Shangcai has an area of ​​1517 km ² and has 1.36 million inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Caidu (蔡 都 镇).

The ancient city of the State of Cai ( Cai guo Gucheng蔡国 故城) is since 1996 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 4-28 ).
