Shattered Glass (film)

Shattered Glass ( Alternative title: Truth and Lies - Shattered Glass) is an American- Canadian film from 2003 about the history of journalist Stephen Glass, who forged as a prominent feature journalist and editorial board member of The New Republic several articles.

The film is a very accurate and realistic representation of the actual story and is based on interviews with the people involved.

Ruthe Stein wrote in the San Francisco Chronicle, Shattered Glass is an impressively compelling film about the journalist Stephen Glass. January Stuart said in Newsday, Christensen dip completely and scary into the skin of Glass.

Awards

Peter Sarsgaard was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Chuck Lane in 2004. Hayden Christensen and the screenplay was nominated for Satellite Awards. Was also only nominated the film at the Golden Trailer Awards for Best Independent Trailer.

At the Independent Spirit Awards in 2004, the film Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor was awarded in the categories (Peter Sarsgaard ) nominations.

The film won the 2003 Political Film Society Award for Democracy.
