Shire of Dowerin

Dowerin is located in Western Australia's " wheat belt" in the center of the state about 140 km northeast of the capital, Perth. The seat of the Shire Council is located in the town of Dowerin, where about 350 inhabitants.
Management
The Dowerin Council has ten members, eight are Councillor of the inhabitants of the three Wards ( four from the Town Ward, two each from the Rural North and Rural South Ward) selected. The Chairman of the Council ( Shire President) and his deputy (vice ) are elected by all residents of the Shire.
