Shout Out Louds

Shout Out Louds is a Swedish indie rock band from Stockholm.

Band History

The origin of the band had in Stockholm in the three childhood friends Adam Olenius, Ted Malmros and Carl von Arbin. In 2001, she laid the foundation stone for the Shout Out Louds and brought with Eric Edman and Bebban STENBORG still a drummer and a keyboard player to do so. The originally chosen name Luca Brasi them had to give up because there was already a band with that name. She immediately wrote three songs and produced a demo tape, which brought them a record deal with the indie record label Bud Fox Recordings. The first release of the band was in early 2003, the EP 100 °, which could be placed immediately in the Swedish charts. This was followed by a tour of Sweden with performances in neighboring countries as well as two more single releases in preparation for the release of the debut album Howl Howl Gaff Gaff in October in the same year. It reached # 35 on the album charts.

Then the Swedes sailed once again to Europe and produced their second album, Our Ill Wills, along with Björn Ytlling by Peter Bjorn and John as a producer. It was released in 2007, first in their home and brought it there until the Top 10 Then it appeared in the United States and was able to at least place in the top 30 in the independent charts. Particularly successful were the pieces Tonight I Have to Leave It and Impossible, which made ​​it into the U.S. dance charts in the Top 5.

After further tours the band in 2008 took a break once before it got down to work on their next album in the year. This time, the LP was recorded with producer Phil Ek in the U.S.. Work published in February in the U.S. when indie label Merge Records and in Germany at Vertigo. They were able to repeat the success of its predecessor and were even for one week at number 200, the official U.S. album charts. To this end, they made it for the first time to become established in German-speaking and arrived in the German Media Control Charts to position 30 and had a hit single with hard case. Despite the growing success of the Swedes went for a return. After a personal and musical break with other projects, she pulled off for their next album back to Stockholm and took with John Berglund a Swedish producer added. One and a half years they settled for working time before album number four appeared with the title Optica end of February 2013.

Reception
