Siegfried Rauch

Siegfried Rauch ( born April 2, 1932 in Landsberg am Lech ) is a German actor.

Life

Siegfried Rauch wanted to be an architect originally. He began studying drama and later took acting lessons. His career began in smoke from 1958 to theaters.

After roles at theaters in Bremen, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg smoke could be seen in the cinema and television. Among his most successful film roles was in 1970 the Captain Oskar Steiger in Patton - Rebell in uniform, who was honored with seven Academy Awards. In 1971, he embodied on the side of Steve McQueen racing driver Erich Stahler in Le Mans. Steve McQueen, with the smoke from a close friend, was the godfather of his first son.

In 1977 he played the role of " Thomas Lieven " in the television series It may not always be caviar on the novel by Johannes Mario Simmel. This was followed by roles in the television series The Happy Family with Maria Schell and torrent. In the 14- piece Karl May television series My friend Winnetou (1980 ) played smoke on the side of the Old Shatterhand Pierre Brice. Since 1999, the captain was smoke in the ZDF series The Love Boat, which he said goodbye to retire in the Christmas episode of 2013.

Siegfried Rauch was also active as a singer, activity, he gave up in favor of acting. With the orchestra Martin Böttcher he took the title To be free as the man who lives in the mountains on a cover version of Thom Pace Maybe titles from the television series The Man in the mountains. More titles with him have been released on LP and CD.

Since 1964, Siegfried Rauch is married to Karin and the couple have two sons. The nature-loving actor lives in a farmhouse in the Upper Bavarian Untersöchering in Weilheim.

Since December 2010, Siegfried Rauch, the Foundation supports children's future.
