Siegfried Wustrow

Siegfried Wustrow ( born May 7, 1936 in Göhlen ) is a former racing cyclist from East Germany.

Siegfried Wustrow began his career in the early 1950s as a cyclist in the ESR steel Furstenberg (now ironworks city). He was an all-rounder, the pacemaker race went, but also in road racing (second of the GDR Tour 1963) and cross-country race ( participants of the 1958 World Cup ) was successful. In 1955 he won Around the Hainleite.

1960 Wustrow was vice-champion of amateur stayer in Karl- Marx-Stadt. The following year, he could repeat this success at the Track World Championships in Zurich and in the same year GDR champion in this discipline.

Today Siegfried Wustrow runs a taxi company in Leipzig and is further connected to cycling as an organizer and participant of mass sports events.
