The underlings of the king have to capture the order all the women of the country and advised also to the wife of the protagonist, who is out for revenge and now attracts the liberation of his wife in the fight. In the course of the story still turns out, moreover, that Silver is also looking for an alliance with the Demon Apocalypse to take over the world in itself. The player must find eight magical orbs to fend off the demons and overthrow the tyranny.

Gameplay

Game play is influenced by both the genre of adventure games, from RPG and the action-adventure game. In contrast to role-playing games, the player has no way to create your own character. The player instead follows with its main character and up to three characters accompanying the plotline. The playable characters are only predefined and can be only rudimentary facilities. Experience points are automatically collected, what their skill level during the course of a game adapts to the stronger opponents. Healing we learn about items, spells and artifacts as well as after the defeated bosses.

The game world is built fairly linear, so that one plays mainly the specified plotline in the order specified by the developer. The action part is very present through the numerous fights with hand weapon, ranged weapon or spell in the game, but by no means the main element of acting, such as in Diablo. Also, there is virtually no Jump ' n' Run elements, as it is typical for action-adventure in the tradition of Tomb Raider. The ability to store exists only at predetermined points of memory.

Development

The graphics engine of Silver works like an adventure game, the locations of events as a pre-rendered background scenes is, in which the characters are polygonal shown in perspective in calculated correctly. The pre- recorded images of a medieval fantasy world are strung together logically and be enriched with visual and audio effects, such as rain. The music composed by Dean Evans background music is partly thematically, so it changes with danger or in combat. The German language edition was received by the German voice actors of Hollywood stars Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage.

On June 25, 2013 it was announced that Nordic Games has acquired the trademark rights of the insolvent publisher Atari SA (formerly Infogrames ).
