Silvio Mondinelli

Silvio " Gnaro " Mondinelli (* June 24, 1958 in Gardone Val Trompia ) is an Italian mountaineer. He is the 13th person to whom the ascent of all eight-thousanders, so all 14 mountains on earth with an altitude above 8000 meters, succeeded.

On 13 October 1993 Mondinelli stood on a eight-thousanders, the 8163 meter high Manaslu first time. Mount Everest, with 8848 meters the highest mountain in the world, he climbed on May 23, 2001. On 12 July 2007 Mondinelli was finally at the summit of his last eight -thousand, the Broad Peak. He had so nearly 13 years and 9 months for the entire eight-thousand - program needs. Oxygen bottles he has renounced all climbing; this was only five climbers succeeded before him.
