Simferopol International Airport ( Ukrainian: Міжнародний аеропорт " Сімферополь "; Russian: Международный аэропорт " Симферополь " ) ( IATA: SIP, ICAO: UKFF ) is the largest airport on the Crimean peninsula. It is located about 11 km northwest of the city of Simferopol (Ukraine ) and was opened in 1936.

Connection

The airport is connected to the trolleybus line 2/9 of the state transport company Krymskyj trolejbus with the city of Simferopol. In previous years also perverted through trolleybus courses from the airport via the overland route to Alushta ( line 54) and Yalta ( line 55). The latter was the longest trolleybus line in the world.
