Simmer Down

Simmer Down ( to German as " Calm down " or " cooling you off " ) was the first single from the Wailers (then consisting of Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh ), which was published in 1963 ( number one hit in Jamaica in February 1964 ). It is a relaxed ska song by just under three minutes in length in the key of B flat major; the song was later played a few times on live concerts, for example, the so -called Wonder Dream Concert 1975 ( joint concert with Stevie Wonder). It is the first song by Bob Marley & The Wailers, which was recorded in the studio. The song was recorded at that time along with the Skatalites, a famous ska band.

There is a cover version of the song by the band Salmonella Dub on the album One Drop East, and one of Boston ska -core band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
