Simone Inzaghi

Simone Inzaghi ( born April 5, 1976 in Piacenza, Italy ) is a retired Italian footballer and current football coach.

His older brother Filippo Inzaghi was also football players.

Career

In the club

After playing in the youth from FC Piacenza, Simone Inzaghi signed his first professional contract in 1994. However, he was in the first few years awarded to various clubs in the Serie C1 and Serie C2 to get match practice and experience to be gained. After a Persuasive season at U.S. Brescello he returned to the Serie A returns to his home club FC Piacenza and scored 15 goals in 30 games.

The following season, he was courted by many top Italian clubs, where he finally decided to Lazio. This season he celebrated his greatest successes with Lazio. He scored in eleven Champions League games nine goals, four of them alone in the match against Olympique Marseille, which meant setting the record from Marco van Basten in 1992. He also had seven goals this season in Serie A, as well as several gates in the Coppa Italia also an important part of the second championship and the third Cup victory Lazio Rome.

However, Simone Inzaghi could never show the performance of the first season back in the following years, so it was first awarded in early 2005 for half a year to Sampdoria and after two unsuccessful years with only twelve games, and zero goals for Lazio loan to Atalanta changed. There, however, he could not prevail, and was mostly just a substitute, so he returned after a year to Lazio.

In the 2008 /09 season he scored against U.S. Lecce his first Serie A goal since 2004. End of the season 2009/10 Inzaghi ended his active career and now coaches the youth team of age Allievi regionali at Lazio.

In the National Team

Simone Inzaghi completed 2000-2003 three caps for the Italian national team. However, he could never prevail against competitors like Christian Vieri, Francesco Totti, Alessandro Del Piero and his brother Filippo Inzaghi.
