Siren Song of the Counter Culture is the third studio album by the American hardcore punk band Rise Against. It was the first album of the band on a major label. The album was released in the UK on 9 August 2004, in the United States on 10 August 2004 and in Germany on 17 August 2004. The album reached # 136 on the Billboard Charts (USA ) as well as # 1 on the Heatseekers Albums.

Formation

The album was recorded in Gibsons 2004 in two Canadian studios The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver and Plumper Mountain Sound. Both studios are located in the Canadian province of British Columbia.

Music

Since Siren Song of the Counter Culture was the first album of the band on a major label, it differs in terms of production significantly from the previous albums of the band, as it was designed much more difficult than even revolutions per minute. The genre of the album can be combined with Hardcore Punk, Melodic Hardcore, and describe progressive rock.
