Slade Professor of Fine Art

Slade Professor of Fine Art (Eng. Slade Professor of Fine Arts) is a named in English and American tradition after a donor chair and title of senior professor of art at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford and London.

They are the legacy of the philanthropist Felix Slade and were founded at the first anniversary of his death in 1869. Connected with this establishment was the establishment of the Slade School of Fine Art in London, whose respective president holds this Slade Professorship. The Slade Professorship at Oxford is a visiting professor at All Souls College, which is equipped with a mandatory teaching.
