SÅ‚awomir Wojciechowski

Sławomir " Wojciech " Wojciechowski [ swavɔmir vɔjʨiɛxɔfski ] ( born September 6, 1973 in Gdańsk ) is a retired Polish footballer.

Career

Clubs

The attacking midfielder with a strong left foot began his professional career at second division Lechia Gdańsk, where he debuted in 1989 at the age of 15 years. At the beginning of the 1993/94 season Wojciechowski joined the first division Zawisza Bydgoszcz, but could not avoid relegation at the end of the season. After half a year in the second division, he joined in the winter 1994/95 GKS Katowice and thus returned back to the top flight of Polish football. In this he graduated to 1998 100 league games in which he scored 30 goals.

Wojciechowski then moved to Switzerland for first division side FC Aarau. From there he was hired in the winter break of the season 1999/2000 the German record champion Bayern Munich. On February 12, 2000 ( 20th Round ) he made his debut in a 2-0 win in the away match against SpVgg Unterhaching, when he came on in the 91st minute for Paulo Sérgio.

On 8 April 2000 ( 28th Round ), he scored the deficit to 4-0 Final in the 85th minute at home against the SSV Ulm 1846 his only Bundesliga. Among his three missions in league play operation he was once a substitute in the match for the DFB Cup ( 3-2 home victory over Hansa Rostock) and mobilized in the Champions League ( 0-2 defeat at Dynamo Kiev) in the starting lineup. In the following season, " Wojciech " came only to a game against the unterklassigen FC Schönberg 95 in the DFB Cup and once in the League Cup for use. Lack of match practice he left FC Bayern Munich and returned to FC Aarau, for whom he played half a season.

After that, he joined the Polish first division RKS Radomsko, who had, however, descend to end of season. Wojciechowski initially found no sporting home and stayed out of contract until December 2003. At the beginning of 2004, he signed a contract with his former club Lechia Gdańsk, who had meanwhile arrived after a sporty new beginning in the sixth league in 2001, the fourth- highest division. At the end of the season the club promotion to the third division, the direct walkover in the second Polish league joined them.

After the 2006/07 season Wojciechowski left the second division and then returned to Germany, where he had a season at the Association division; stood SCB Viktoria Köln under contract (5th League Middle Rhine ). In March 2008, he was due to an alleged assault - the seemingly player fouled stated for the record, not to have been fouled - suspended for ten weeks. After September 2008, he was vertragslos following this commitment, he signed for one season at the Polish third division Olimpia Grudziądz for which he played 18 league games. His last professional use, he played on 6 June 2009 ( 30th Round ) in a 5-1 victory at home to Polonia Nowy Tomyśl.

Since 2009, Wojciechowski plays in the "old- men's team " Lechia Gdańsk, the club where his career once started.

National

From 17 to 27 May 1990, he took part with the U- 16 national team at the European Championships in the GDR and won on May 27 in Erfurt with a 3-2 victory over the selection of Portugal to third place. 1997 Wojciechowski played four times for the national team. He made his debut on 14 February in Warsaw goalless draw in the Test match against the national team of Lithuania. Then he came on February 17 in Derynia (Cyprus) in a 3-2 victory against the national team of Latvia, on May 22 in Solna in a 2-2 draw against the selection of Sweden and on September 24 in Olsztyn at 2: 0 victory over the selection of Lithuania used.
