Slobodan Medojević

Slobodan Medojević ( Serbian Cyrillic Слободан Медојевић, born October 20, 1990 in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, now Serbia) is a Serbian football player who is under contract with German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. He usually takes the role of the central defensive midfielder, the so-called first molar.

Vojvodina Novi Sad

Slobodan Medojević went through all the youth teams of Vojvodina Novi Sad and was on 2 May 2007 his professional debut as his side won 1-0 away against Borac Čačak and the he came on in the 89th minute for Dušan Tadić. Due to his young age, he came the following season 2007/ 08 is not used and returned only in 2008/ 09 into the first team back. This season he came, however, only used twice. 2009/10 Medojević developed into the leading players in the first team and 25 times was used in the course of the season. He scored two goals, his first he managed 16 August 2009 (1st Round ) 3-0 win in the away match against Hajduk Kula, Vojvodina and reached the cup final. In the season 2010/11 he again reached the cup final with the club, as well as 3rd place in the league. He was awarded the best youth player in 2011 and stood in the Super League Team of the Year.

VfL Wolfsburg

After 70 league games for Vojvodina, he signed on January 2, 2012, to June 30, 2015 dated contract with the Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg, who referred 2.5 million Euro transfer fee for him. He was engaged by coach Felix Magath, as a perspective player for the future. With the jersey number 6, he debuted under Dieter Hecking on March 31, 2013 ( 27 Matchday) in a 2-2 draw at home against 1 FC Nuremberg for 90 minutes. He prepared the 2:0 by claiming on the right wing against two opponents. He could fight for a regular place on first attempt and was employed in each of the remaining season games. His debut in the DFB Cup he gave on April 16, 2013, in the semi-final against Bayern Munich, where he was in the starting lineup and played. Beginning of the first round of the 2013/14 season he injured his thigh and fell from a brief period, but he was able to fight for a regular place and abosolvieren 11 games in the league and one in the DFB Cup.

National

Slobodan Medojević is used since 2006 in the youth national teams of Serbia and is regularly used. Since 2009 he plays for the U -21 team and graduated in eighteen games. He was also captain of the national team.
