Sloup (Blansko District)

Sloupsko is a Městys in the Czech Republic. The sanctuary is located in the Moravian Karst, 7.5 km to the east of Rájec- Jestřebí and belongs to the Okres Blansko on.

Geography

The village is situated in 470 m at the confluence of the streams and Žďárná Luha. In the south of the place the arroyo Pustý begins žleb. The Luha flows into the interior of the karst area, which houses the cave system in the Sloupsko - šošůvské jeskyně. In the cave Kůlna, which is part of this system skull bones were found Neanderthal bones and the cave bear, hyena and the woolly rhinoceros. History

Sloupsko was first mentioned in 1373. 1446 he was in possession of Půta Sovinec on ​​Doubravice and Holstein. 1491 bought Ludmilla of Kunštát, the wife of Vratislaw of Pernštejna village and mill.
