Slovak Cup

The Slovak Football Cup (Slovak Slovenský pohár ) is the football cup competition for Slovak club teams. It is awarded annually by the Slovak Football Association ( slowak. Slovenský futbalový zväz, SFZ ) is organizing.

Slovakian Cup

From 1960 to 1969 and was discharged with the Czechoslovak Cup is a nationwide cup competition. After the transformation of Czechoslovakia into a federation of the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1969, there were two states own cup competitions. The winners of the two competitions clashed in a final to determine the Czechoslovak Cup winner, who was allowed to participate in the European Cup Winners' Cup. However, the only winning the competition was not necessarily a high priority, but it was necessary, in order to qualify for the European Cup, nor to defeat the Czech Cup winner. This changed in 1993 with the independence of Slovakia, as the Slovak Cup winner was directly qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup. The first vintage won Slovan Bratislava, in the final defeated the team 1.FC Tatran Prešov 2-1 after extra time.

Record cup winners with 10 titles is Slovan Bratislava.

Mode (2006 /07)

In the first main round of 38 teams from the Second and Third League play against each other.

In the 2nd round come to the 19 winners from the first round of 13 other teams, including all twelve first division.

In the second round, the 16 winners of the second round clash. In the quarterfinals, the remaining eight teams will be drawn against each other.

In the semifinals, the four remaining teams will be drawn against each other and determine in return game the finalists.

The final takes place on neutral ground, the venue will be announced by the Association.
