Sol Kyung-gu
Sol Kyung -gu ( born May 1, 1968) is a South Korean actor.
He studied theater at Hanyang University and initially then subsequently worked mainly in the theater, since 1996, also in the film. He had in 1999 in the movie song o His first leading role.
In Korea, you know him from movies like Public Enemy (2002), its sequel, and especially the very successful Silmido (2003) by Kang Woo- seok and Gwangbokjeol teuksa (2002) by Kim Sang- jin.
Internationally known he is for his roles in films such as demanding Lee Chang- dong's Peppermint Candy ( 2000) and Oasis ( 2002). For Peppermint Candy he got on the Bratislava International Film Festival Best Actor Award for Oasis at the Seattle International Film Festival Golden Space Needle Award for Best Actor.
Sol left in 2006 after 10 years of marriage, divorce, and is married to actress Song Yun- ah since 2009.
