Solano County Green Valley AVA

Solano County Green Valley AVA ( recognized since 29 December 1982) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California. The area lies in the coastal management area Solano County. The defined as Green Valley area is 1.6 km × 6.4 km in size. The area with a protected designation of origin is located northeast of the Bay of San Pablo and southeast of the Napa Wine Country AVA. The cool breezes from the nearby bay and often cool mist form similar to the nearby Los Carneros AVA and Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley AVA, a micro-climate that is clearly from the hot climate of the more northerly regions of the Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley differ.
