Somsak Kiatsuranont
Somsak Kiatsuranont ( Thai: สม ศักดิ์ เกียรติ สุร นนท์; * June 27, 1954 in Khon Kaen ) is a Thai politician. He belongs to the Pheu Thai Party.
Life
Somsak Kiatsuranont is a member of the House since 1983 ( 10 periods ). Somsak Kiatsuranont was elected on 2 September 2011, four weeks after the general election in Thailand as the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the day it confirmed by King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Somsak Kiatsuranont was a politician who is acceptable to the Thai Democratic Party. He had largely retained during the riots in Bangkok in 2010.
During a debate about an amnesty law June 1, 2012 several members of the Democratic Party Somsak Kiatsuranont attacked and started fighting with members of the Pheu -Thai Group. Somsak was able to escape only with the aid of the police from the, at the time of about 2,000 members of the People's Alliance for Democracy ( PAD ) besieged Parliament.
