Son Lux
Son Lux is the pseudonym of the American singer and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Lott ( born 1979 in Denver, Colorado).
Biography
Even as a child began his training in piano and guitar, later were added other instruments. After he had worked among other things as advertising composer, in 2008 his debut album, At War With Walls And Mazes appeared on the label anticon. In addition, he published a series of remixes by other artists such as Beirut and Castanets.
The Music Express has named his second album We Are Rising album of the month August 2011. Plattentests.de Also, Spiegel Online and the reviewed Allmusic the album was largely positive.
Style
Musically pulled the music press comparisons to Sufjan Stevens, Portishead, Battles, Grizzly Bear and Bon Iver. Spiegel Online describes the style also as "music, electro and folk is, could be the classical and jazz, but would prefer dramatic remains in vagueness ."
