South Ealing tube station

The opening of the station took place on 1 May 1883, when the Metropolitan District Railway (MDR, predecessor of today's District Line ), the distance between Acton Town and Hounslow Town took in operation. From 1903 the line was electrified on June 13, 1905 reversed the first electric trains.

On January 9, 1933 for the first time sailed also trains on the Piccadilly Line this section, but initially did not hold in South Ealing. This was the case until April 29, 1935. Since October 9, 1964 runs, only the Piccadilly Line to the west of Acton Town section because the District line was shortened. In 2006 there was a major renovation of the platforms.
