Southern Highway (Belize)

The Southern Highway is one of the four major highways in the Central American Belize.

It begins at the confluence of the Hummingbird Highway in Dangriga and leads to Punta Gorda, where there is no other road link more. The Southern Highway is fixed to about 50 kilometers from Punta Gorda and leads in the first part east of the mountain range of the Maya Mountains along. At the Southern Highway lies the Cockscomb Wildlife Reserve and the Mayan ruins of Nim Li Punit and Lubaantun.

The driving time from Dangriga to Punta Gorda is about four hours.
