Southwestern Athletic Conference

The Southwestern Athletic Conference ( SWAC ) is a string of ten universities League for various sports that play in the NCAA Division I. In college football teams play in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS ) (formerly Division I- AA).

The league was founded in 1983. The members are located in the southeastern United States. The headquarters is located in Birmingham, Alabama.
