Sparkassen Giro Bochum
The Sparkassen Giro Bochum is an international cycling race in Bochum.
The event will be held regularly on the second weekend after the end of the Tour de France and lasts from Saturday to Sunday. Here, the trail is traveled from the center of Bochum in the south to the hamlet Stiepelmann. The curvy round is 14.6 km long, to be traversed the height difference is 170 m. The road is far mostly paved, but there are also paved sections. The professional team traveled the route 12 times, besides also are a everyman's race in which any interested cyclists can be extended to 25 km distance traveled two or four times. The day before the professional race held stayer race on a shortened course.
The race was part of the 2006-2009 racing series International German Championship.
The women's race in 2014 is part of the cycling World Cup of Women
