Spectrum is a British House act from London, consisting of Gabriel Olegavich (synthesizer, programming and vocals ), Lola Olafisoye (Vocals), Isaac Tucker (drums ) and Teia Williams ( bass).

Band History

The band spectrum was founded in 1999 when Gabriel and Lola decided to write music together and produce. In 2001 they met bassist Teia Williams through a mutual friend and recruited him as well as the drummer Isaac Tucker ( the two had in the past worked in her native New Zealand).

In August 2001, the band released on their own label, their first single, " breaker", which was first played on the radio by Gilles Peterson. The follow-up single " Freakbox " was released in March 2002 and attracted the attention of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, who produced as well as alter ego and a remix.

The greatest success the band had in 2004 with the single " Kinda New ". The single reached number 70 in the UK Singles Chart. After the original publication already appeared with a remix of Tiefschwarz, 2005 and 2007 still more remixes by Dirty South were produced. The latter reached number one on the UK Dance Charts.

2004 finally appeared also their debut album Enter the spectrum. Another album titled Fun at the Gymkhana Club was published in 2006.
