Spencer is a village ( Village ) of the Spencer Township in the west of the circular area of Medina County, Ohio, United States.

The village lies in the middle of the square Spencer Township, about 40 km south of Lake Erie and close to 12 km due west of Medina, the nearest major city. Spencer is the only village in the township, and the remaining 1,682 of the total 2,429 residents of Spencer Township live in small settlements outside the boundaries of the Village. The village is situated at the intersection of two regional roads 162 and 301, the village center is located on 278 m above sea level.

At the 2000 census, the population of Spencer ( Village ) of 747 inhabitants who settled in an area of 2.6 km ² existed. Slightly more than 99% of them were white. The per capita income was 16,708 U.S. dollars, four percent were living below the poverty line. About a quarter of the population has German roots.

Named the place for a local mill owner named Calvin Spencer founded after 1823 in return for that he is ready put the timber for a school.
