Splash (dinghy)

The Splash is a single-handed sailing dinghy. It was designed by Roel Wester, a successful OK sailor, for young people aged 13 to 18 years who have outgrown the optimists.

The Splash is produced in the Netherlands. Around 3,500 boats are in use worldwide in 2007. The sail area is 5.5 square meters, the weight is 55 kg. The Splash is an organization recognized by the International Sailing Federation ISAF International " one-design class." The cockpit offers sufficient freedom of movement and go horseback riding.

The Splash as an international class sailing since 2000 open world championships ( Worlds ) in different countries in the past, often with more than 150 participants, currently with about 70 participants.
