Spokane Canaries

The Spokane Canaries were an American ice hockey team from Spokane, Washington. The team played in the season 1916/17 in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association.

History

The franchise of the Victoria Aristocrats from the Pacific Coast Hockey Association in 1916 to Spokane, Washington, relocated and played in the season 1916/17 under the name Spokane Canaries. Out of 23 games, the team won eight times and lost 15 times. This occupied the Canaries the fourth and thus last place in the league. At the end of the season they put back the game already operating, while the team from Victoria itself resumed the operation of gambling in the PCHA for the season 1919.
