New Westminster Royals

The New Westminster Royals were a Canadian ice hockey team from New Westminster, British Columbia. The team played from 1911 to 1914 in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association.

History

The franchise of the New Westminster Royals was in season 1912 along with the Vancouver Millionaires and Victoria Aristocrats of the three founding members of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association. In her first season she could instantly win the championship of the league. In the seasons 1912/13 and 1913/14, the Royals took second place with the same participants in each constellation. Then the team was for the season 1914/15 to Portland, Oregon, moved and put the game in the PCHA operating under the name Portland Rosebuds continued.

From 1945 to 1959 played an eponymous team in the Pacific Coast Hockey League and the Western Hockey League. Several crew of the Canadian Junior Football League British Columbia Hockey League called themselves New Westminster Royals.
