The Stadio Armando Picchi is a football stadium with track and field facility in the Tuscan town of Livorno in Italy. It is the home of the Serie A club AS Livorno and can accommodate 19 238 spectators.

History

Construction of the planned by the architect Raffaello Brizzi stadium began in 1933, when Livorno had risen in the Serie A. 1935, the Edda Ciano Mussolini Stadium was inaugurated by a match between the B selection of Italy and the B- Selection of Austria. After the Second World War it was Yankee Stadium, because at that time many American soldiers were stationed in Livorno, who played in the American Football stadium and their military parades conducted. In 2000, the game site was given its current name in honor of the player Armando Picchi.
