Ståle Storløkken

Ståle Storløkken ( born February 19, 1969 in Lillehammer ) is a Norwegian jazz keyboardist.

Storløkken studied from 1988 to 1990 at the Trøndelag Music Conservatory Jazz music he played at that time in a band called Dr. Schjabert Fjarck & De Frustrerte. In 1989 he founded with Jarle Vespestad Arve Henriksen and Trio Veslefrekk, whose self-titled debut album was recorded in 1993 and published in 1994. He also worked with other bands like Piggy Bop (1991 ), Gunnar Andreas Berg's Supernatural, the band Bodega (1992 ), and the group M'boko.

With Christian Wallumrød he wrote in 1994 for the Kongsberg Jazz Festival, the work commissioned by Eight Thirty; In 1996 he joined with his own band The Stoken Experience at the Molde Jazz Festival. He played one albums with Håvard Lund, Anders Kjellberg and Didrik Ingvaldsen and worked with Terje Rypdal, Terje Isungset, Eldbjørg Raknes and the group of Knut and Lars Danielsson Værnes.

Since 1997 Storløkken member of the band Supersilent, which consists of the members of Veslefrekk and Helge Sten and so far eleven albums ( Supersilent 1-11) recorded. With the old cast of Veslefrekk -2004, the album Valse Mysterioso.

2000 has been Storløkken on Audun Kleives Album Generator X, in the following year to Sverre Gjørvads Denne lille he pytten et hav. Published in 2004 a duo album with Thomas Strønen ( Humcrush on Rune Grammofon ), 2005 an album with Lisbeth Diers, in the following year he played on Terje Rypdal album Vossabrygg.

Storløkken be heard on the 2012 concept album released The Death Defying Unicorn of the Norwegian rock band Motorpsycho.
