Stará Ves (Bruntál District)

Stara Ves ( German Altendorf ) is a municipality with about 530 inhabitants in the Czech Republic.

Stara Ves extends in the valley of the brook brook Podolský four kilometers northwest of the center of Rýmařov ( Roman city ) at the foot of the mountains in Altvater 645 m asl

History

The place belonged to the rule Rabenstein, which existed from the 13th century. Altendorf is the first time in 1561 documentary evidence. Landlords were the noble families of Eder and von Harrach.

The Germans were expropriated and sold after 1945.

The center of the village is the built in 1861 Alfred Hut ( Alfrédova chata ). In 1960 Žďárský Potok was incorporated.
