Stefan Ã…lander

Stefan Ålander ( born April 25, 1983 in Sundsvall ) is a Swedish football player. The defensive player ran on in his career for GIF Sundsvall and Kalmar FF in Allsvenskan.

Career

Ålander began playing football at IFK Timrå. In 2002, the Defensive Allrounder to GIF Sundsvall in the Allsvenskan. In parallel, he played himself in the squad of the Swedish Under-21 team, which he regularly served until 2005. With his new club, he came, in the following seasons regularly used, mostly it was used but only as a substitute. It was only in the 2005 he was able to permanently establish themselves in the starting eleven. Nevertheless, he rose at the end of the year from the club, but stayed loyal to him in the Superettan. At the end of the second division season 2007 for the now captain appointed Ålander managed his team to return to the Swedish Elite series, but there missed the Movers as a table next to last in the league. In the second division, he first held the club loyalty and played eight games in the Superettan.

In the summer of 2009 Ålander left the club from the Medelpad and returned to the Allsvenskan. At last year's champion Kalmar FF, he signed a contract with three and a half years duration. He established himself in his first six series for the new club as a regular player and played 13 of his 15 league games until the end of the Premiership season 2009 from the beginning, lost his place but during the following season.

Shortly before the end of the winter transfer window Ålander returned in March 2011 to GIF Sundsvall back. On the side of Pontus Engblom, Fredrik Holster and Emil Forsberg, he was promoted to the Allsvenskan at the end of the second division season 2011. With the trained by Sören Åkeby team he was the mostly regular player during the season for a long time in the midfield, but slipped in the last third of the season in the relegation place from. In the 0-3 first leg defeat against Halmstad BK substitute, he was indeed in the return leg back to the starting lineup, but the 4-3 win was in addition to the little league.
