Stefan Alvén

Stefan Alven ( born December 12, 1968) is a Swedish former football player. The defender and midfielder, who spent his entire playing career in his home country, worked by end of his career as a sports official.

Career

Alven began playing football at Asmundstorps IF. In 1986 he moved to his early second division club Landskrona BoIS. In the following years he placed with the team in the mid- table portion of the league before they slipped at the beginning of the 1990s in the relegation battle. In 1991 he left the club and joined Malmö FF in Allsvenskan. Here he was at first team regular and walked to the however being able to intervene in the title race with the team in each of the championship finals of the seasons 1991 and 1992, without Since by Jonnie Fedel, Patrik Andersson, Niclas Nylén and Dan Corneliusson. Under coach Rolf Zetterlund, who took over as coach Viggo Jensen before the start of the season in 1994, he moved into second place. In February 2005, the General Assembly chose Djurgårdens IF Alven, who had studied law during his time in Stockholm, as a member for legal issues to the Board. In November 2009, the Association changed its structures, in this context, promoted him to the club sporting director, who is responsible for the sporting management. To strengthen the competition team, he eventually moved on to the introduced in November, to date, not occupied the post of Manager in May of the following year. After threats against his person and his family, he joined in early May 2011 from his post.
