Stefan-Peter Greiner

Stefan -Peter Greiner (born 1966 in Stuttgart ) is a German violin maker.

Life and work

With 14 years of built Stefan- Peter Greiner his first violin. One lesson he graduated in Bonn, where he runs his workshop today. Greiner's goal is to build tools that come close to the human singing, ie in the frequency 2000-4000 Hz have their focus.

In long-standing partnership with the physicist Heinrich Dünnwald who examined acoustically to the 1,300 violins, Greiner succeeds more and more to get close to the sound of the violins of Guarneri and Stradivari.

In 2003, Stefan -Peter Greiner received the Rheingau Music Award ( other winners among others Gidon Kremer and Tabea Zimmermann).
