Stephen Alan "Steve" Harper ( born March 14 1975 in Easington ) is an English football goalkeeper who is currently active for Hull City in the Premier League.

Career

His footballing career started in 1992 at Seaham Red Star. He stayed there only for a year and moved to Newcastle United in 1993. Between 1995 and 1998 Steve Harper was loaned out to various clubs and had a total of 12 years behind the Irish goalkeeper Shay Given. His debut for Newcastle United he had given on 28 November 1998, compared to FC Wimbledon. He is now the "number one " of the " Magpies " By switching from Shay Given to Manchester City in February 2009.
