Steve Marr

Steve Marr ( born June 6, 1984 in Kamloops, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played for Herner EV 2007 in the league.

Career

Marr began his career in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League with the Medicine Hat Tigers, with whom he was in season 2003/ 04 the President's Cup, the championship of the WHL win. The Tigers Marr was among the top performers within the team and took over the captain's office. In his third season, he could have a plus / minus stats by 36. In the four years that he was active in Medicine Hat, he scored 53 points scorer in 285 games. In summer 2005, he signed as a free agent contract with the Calgary Flames, but only in the ECHL with the Las Vegas Wranglers and in the American Hockey League put him at the Omaha Ak -Sar - Ben Knights. Marr never got in this time, the chance to prove themselves in the National Hockey League.

In summer 2007, the leaders of the Calgary Flames transferred him to the Chicago Blackhawks. For the Blackhawks, he was again given to the farm team of the ECHL and the AHL. Finally, he pushed for the season 2008/09, a move to Europe. There, the management of the Oberliga Herner EV in 2007 attracted the attention of the then 24 -year-old and took the left-handed shooters under contract. After the 2008/ 09 season he left the HEV again.
