Steve Robertson (racing driver)

Steve Robertson ( born July 4, 1964 in Hackney, England ) is an English manager in motorsport and has been as a racer in various championships at the start. In 1994 he won the race Indy Lights series.

Robertson spent three years racing in the British Formula 3 series, 1990, he reached the third place in the championship. In the 1993 season, he raced in the International Formula 3000, but could not go into the points. In 1994 he won the Indy Lights Championship, he drove seven races in the two years in which he took to be the first across the finish line. In addition to David Empringham he was the only champion of this championship, which did not compete in the Champ Car race.

In 1996 he joined in a Ford Mondeo car to work in the British Touring Car Championship, the car was, however, the claims do not grow and so Robertson was unsuccessful in this series. In the first race of the racing season at Donington Park, he turned on the slopes so that his team-mate Paul Radisich a collision could not be avoided.

After his playing career, he began with his father, Dave Robertson ( † 2014), to manage young drivers. Jenson Button could lead to Formula 1 and then took over the management of the young Kimi Raikkonen. He first started in the UK in Formula Renault and then increased in the following year for the Sauber team in a Formula 1 cockpit.

In November 2004, Steve Robertson founded, together with the Finnish racer has its own team in the British Formula 3, Raikkonen Robertson Racing, short RRR or doublerracing. In the second season, in 2006, the team was able to win with the driver RRR British driver Mike Conway this championship.
