Sticciano

Sticciano is a hamlet of Rocca Strada in the province of Grosseto, Tuscany region of Italy.

Geography

The town is located 10 km south of the capital Rocca Strada and 19 km north of the provincial capital Grosseto in the Metalliferous Hills of the Maremma. The village lies at 303 meters above sea level in the mountain chain Monte Leoni close to Poggio Pinzi ( 358 meters altitude) and has about 50 residents. The corresponding district Sticciano Scalo ( Scalo train station) is located at 42 meters above sea level and has about 630 inhabitants. History
