The SS 131 Carlo Felice is the most important and longest state road in Sardinia. It leads from the regional capital of Cagliari in the south via Oristano and Sassari Macomer to and on to Porto Torres in the north of the island. It is a operated by ANAS motorway-like road that is part of the European route 25.

The SS 131 is named after King Charles Felix of Sardinia, in whose reign it was planned and built by the engineer Carbonazzi from 1821. It follows the course of the old Roman road from Turris Libisonis (Porto Torres ) to Caralis (Cagliari).
