Stronger is the second album by the Belgian singer Kate Ryan, and was first published on March 27, 2004 in Belgium. At the huge success of its predecessor Different it could not connect, in Belgium, the album was at number 22 in the album charts.
Genesis
After the great international success of the singles from the album Different Libertine Désenchantée and in 2003 began towards the end of the work on the follow-up album. On January 22, was released in 2004 in Belgium, the first single Only If I as vinyl, then on CD in February, March 27, was released in 2004 the album.
Music
Stylistically, the second album is not a huge difference to its predecessor. The majority sits back from dance tracks together, but are this time next two poppier songs two ballads instead of one as in the predecessor Different contain ( The Rain and Goodbye ). Also, there is again a song with an English and a French version (The Promise You Made - La Promesse ). Just as at Different again is in the lyrics, the frequent use of the " Du- address" strikingly, after which you can assign most of the songs on topics like love, and the like ( We Belong Together, I Like the Way, Goodbye, ...).

Achievements
Chart default, you could tell a lot of difference to the previous releases. Already the single Only If I could not build on the previous successes and managed to place 16 as Bestplatzierung in Belgium no longer in the top 10 of the singles chart. The album Stronger remained with number 22 in the Flemish charts far behind the success of Different back. Only in Germany could be placed better compared to the previous album.
The second single off The Promise You Made / La Promesse was also placed back into the top 10 of the Flemish singles chart and also managed to enter the Walloon charts. The third single Goodbye, a ballad, however, reached number 30 and was not very successful abroad.
In Poland, the album was awarded in September 2004 with a gold record. The first two singles cut down from thence with tenth place ( Only If I) and fourth place (The Promise You Made / La Promesse ) better than in Belgium. Only If I had his best chart position with eighth place in Spain, The Promise You Made / La Promesse fourth place in Poland and Slovakia.
