Alive (Kate Ryan album)

Alive is the third album by the Belgian singer Kate Ryan. It was recorded in the first half of 2006 and was published on 15 September in Belgium. In the chart ratings made it the CD in Belgium in 13th International it was, however, moderate compared with the previous chart Stronger far behind.
Background
After Kate Ryan struggled in 2005 with lots of eating disorders, they decided late December back into the music business, so just two months later, on 20 February, in Belgium their comeback single was released Je t'adore. This was a great success there, because already in the fourth week of sales was the single topped the singles charts and stayed five weeks on the top, as well as in Poland. Following the success of Kate took with Je t'adore part in the national selection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2006 and won. Thus, she was sent to Athens, where the song contest was held, but missed the semi-final by seven points the way into the final. Despite the defeat has already begun work on a new album. In August, the second single release appeared, entitled Alive. However, the song was commercially in Belgium convince good, the rest of Europe not so good ( in Germany only place 42). About the same time the fans were called upon for the new album to find a name and this one end. From the submissions Alive was chosen as the title. In November, the third single off All for You was released. However, this could not connect to the success of its predecessors and landed the first time outside of the first thirty to 37th This is due also probably due to the extremely unusual music video, which was violently in Belgium in the criticism. Then Kate Ryan announced the contract with EMI Belgium and also their management and signed with ARS Entertainment ( a sub-label of Universal).
In the spring of 2007, a special edition of the album has been released in Poland. In addition to the album tracks on a CD that also contains a DVD with all previous video clips (except Scream for More). In addition, the DVD also contains a photo gallery.
On October 6, 2007 Ryan held their first live concert entitled Alive in the Sportpaleis of Antwerp. They sang several songs from her career as Désenchantée, Je t'adore and also some new songs ( for example, Voyage voyage, see Free), with its live band with which she gave performances also been one and a half years.
Music
