Stuart Craig

Stuart Craig ( born April 14, 1942) is a British production designer.

Stuart Craig grew up in Norwich. During his studies of art in the 1960s, he designed the first screenshots for film students. For the British film studio that produced Casino Royale, he worked during this production as a runner and remained there twelve years in the art department. For Richard Attenborough's A Bridge Too Far, he was then for the first time served as chief responsibility Designer. His international breakthrough he experienced in 1980 by David Lynch's The Elephant Man. In total, he received three Oscars for his work. Overall, he was also 12 times nominated for the BAFTA Award and received the award in the category Best Art Direction twice. Since the first Harry Potter film adaptation, he is the chief designer of all the Potter films.
