Subrata Pal

Subrata Pal, also known as Subrata Paul, (born 24 December 1986) is an Indian football player and plays for Chirag United SC, and in the Indian national team as a goalkeeper.

Despite his young age he is already considered one of the best Asian goalkeeper. However, his career began with a tragedy. In the final of the Indian Federation Cup 2004 against Dempo SC of the goalkeeper with the Brazilian striker Cristiano de Lima collided, the 2-0 collapsed and died after scoring.

In subsequent years, Subrata Pal was for his club Mohun Bagan AC to a strong backing in 2006 to celebrate the victory in the Federation Cup and his performances earned him first time in 2007 in the Indian national football team. In the same year the goalkeeper moved to the East Bengal Club, with whom he won the 2007 Federation Cup and was elected to India's Goalkeeper of the Year. Thanks to its superior parades India in 2008 was the winner of the AFC Challenge Cup, making the national team for 24 years, managed to qualify for the Asia Cup 2011 simultaneously for the first time. Subrata Pal won with the national team also 2007, 2009 and 2012, the Nehru Cup.

In 2009, the much sought-after weakly joined the I-League Movers Pune FC.

In July 2012, Subrata Pal held on for a trial at RB Leipzig, but received no contract.

In 2012, he joined Chirag United SC.
